About Us
Maranatha Bana is a private learning centre and registered as a non-profit organization.
The centre is located in the heart of Centurion, 194 Glover Avenue, Lyttelton A.H.
Our beautiful 2 hectare plot offers a safe nurturing environment that encourages
the social, physical, and cognitive stimulation and growth of children at their
own pace. The Centre’s classroom programs and well-trained, dedicated staff provide
a unique learning environment for children with special needs.
Our Philosophy
Maranatha Bana Centre strives to:
- Maintain normal developmental functioning in all areas (cognitive, physical and
social) of development
- Prevent an increase in developmental delay in one or more areas
- Demonstrate progress in one or more developmental areas
- Reducing the stress and anxiety which are associated with parenting a child with
a disability
- Increase the communication interaction between the family and the child with a disability
- Teach power and control
- Facilitate social interaction
- Develop and/or assist language and speech
- Increase independence
- Enhance feelings of self-worth
- Develop and establish pre-literacy skills
- Develop and establish computer skills
- Enhancing disability awareness within the community
